Bianca Monroy is a contemporary Mexican visual artist who has lived in Berlin since 2007. She loves experimentation, and her strong and unique art voice is developing continually while she mixes new materials, forms, and colors, which comes as an inspiration from the concept of contrast and from the memories of her homeland, Mexico.
Her work is notable for its display of color and light, and has been showcased over forty times in solo and collective exhibitions at important locations in France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, and Sweden. One of her designs has been chosen as part of the marketing image of Pankow, one of the most important cultural districts of Berlin. Deeply involved in the art scene, she is a member, along with four other renowned female artists, of the artistic movement ‘Spirale di Luce’, in Italy. She is a cofounder of the international artistic group known as The EXATEC Art Club as well as the fine arts incubator ‘Brunereau & Monroy.’ She mixes her passion for helping others with her art work and has participated in the campaign ‘Genau Pankow!´’, which is funded by the government and welcomes foreigners from around the world with colorful murals painted at refugee homes in Berlin.
